2015 NYMC Projection Classes

I will be speaking at the NYMC Lighting & Projection Classes this year, which are taking place June 2-4, 2015. I’m thrilled to be in the company of fellow designers Alan Adelman, Mike Baldassari, Zachary Borovay, John Broderick, Gregory Cohen, Steve Cohen, Abigail Rosen Holmes, Mark Alan “Doctor Mojo” Johnson, Bradley King, Olivia Sebesky, Mark Stanley, Justin Townsend, Joshua White, and Cameron Yeary.

The Live Design Master Classes have a rich history featuring the industry’s top designers and artisans coming together to share their insights and opinions around the world in a relaxed intimate setting. This year, Live Design has announced a new spin on its Master Classes for June 2015. The newly re-christened New York Master Classes (NYMC) are a natural evolution of the acclaimed Broadway Master Classes training series, and offer a broader scope, opening the curriculum to include speakers from all aspects of lighting/projection and sound, including theatre, concerts, dance, opera, and beyond.

Suspended Understanding

I’ve begun work on an original text entitled Suspended Understanding (The Ecstasy of Disorientation). The work is a combination of aphoristic philosophy, short fiction and narrative theory centered around the changing shape of spectatorship and human attention. I don’t know if I will ever finish it.
